Incredible India
The slogan for Tourism India got it right when they endorsed these words.
I am in India, Pune to be exact, been here for nearly a month now, and loving every minute. The colours of India are forming the basis of my new series of artworks and I am happily working away surrounded by the sounds and sights that are influencing the composition of this body of work. I read recently that ‘India comprises the bulk of the Indian subcontinent and lies atop the minor Indian tectonic plate, which in turn belongs to the Indo-Australian Plate‘ and this could be the reason that Indians and Australians get on so well together, we are truly neighbours, not just cricket binds us together but also the force of nature. I have been to India before but this time I am living here for an extended period, so every opportunity I am off discovering more of this great land.
