Last night was the much talked about Penfolds wine dinner here at Anantara Hua Hin. Once again Tim Boda’s team of culinary guru’s excelled themselves with pairing food with some the wines from the great Australia wine company, Penfolds.
I did not take much notice of the name of the dinner, Topsy Turvy, but as soon as we arrived I started to ‘get-it’, especially when I was given the bill at the beginning of the meal and told by the staff that they were very pleased to say ‘Goodnight’….it was going to be an interesting dinner. True to their word, we were served desert & red wine, first course, followed by mains, soup – which was an interesting concept of lighting up Vodka and plunging it into your soup course, and finally appetiser accompanied by a sparkling rose to finish…all a lot of fun.
