Christopher Hogan designs original works of art for wall murals.

The One & Only Reethi Rah Resort in the Maldives has a very special Kids Only  club, now with Christopher Hogan murals, it has become a very special space.

Everyone who has stayed at this wonderful resort would attest that their Kids Only club is outstanding and with the addition of my recent wall mural designs it has become  spectacular in appearance as well as service.

My ‘Christopher Hogan Reef Series’ is an ongoing body of work, drawing inspiration from the surrounding atolls, coral reefs and the stunning marine life from around the world.  The One & Only Reethi Rah Maldives Kids Only murals are a first for any resort in the world and I am justifiable proud of the result.

Here I am publishing the very first images of my remarkable murals. I am sure that you will be able to pick out common marine life in my contemporary artworks. It was interesting for me to work in a fully operational Kids Club, I was able to gain first hand critiques from the user-groups, firstly, and the most importantly, were the children themselves. One young critic approached me at breakfast  one morning and told me that he thought that the dark shapes emerging on one of the walls were tuna….anyone who has viewed my work knows that I use dots and stripes predominately, mixed with blocks of colour, so for this young guy to see ‘tuna’….I thought that I better make sure that what he interpreted was in fact there, so in this incidence I have made a conscious departure from my style to add some silhouettes of tuna fish.  I hope that you enjoy looking though these images and of course, you can see it at the resort. www.oneandonlyresorts.com
